In this reconstruction project, we needed to rethink the existing house both visually and functionally. The house is located in a rocky region, so in the architecture we also sought to make a reference to nature and rocks.
The main difficulty of this project was that it was necessary to reduce the area of the house and turn it from 1000 m2 to 400 m2. We decided to dismantle the above-ground structures, but dismantling the basement is irrational and expensive. Therefore, we used the existing outline and developed a planning solution within its framework. For example, in place of a disproportionately large pool, we placed a common space, and in place of the Jacuzzi bowl, we placed a tree, which acts as the main visual dominant.
