The interior design of this house in Canada is built around the idea of creating a cozy, light and minimalistic space with an abundance of wood in different shades. There are also contrasts of textures: roughly finished wood in natural shades as opposed to smooth light and dark wood surfaces, imitation torn stone contrasts with the white flat surface of the walls.
As the home is located by the ocean, the connection to the landscape is emphasized by the furniture and finishes. Thus, the deep blue color correlates with the color of the ocean, and the jagged stone imitates the rocks on which the house is located. The unity of the overall perception is added by the shades of wood on the facades, which gently flow into the interior of the house.
