BAMBOO FOREST is a complex that unites people, architecture, and the incredible local nature in a unique symbiosis.
Our task was to create a comfortable, fully autonomous residential complex that would attract both island guests and locals for resort vacations and as an investment object.
After analyzing the territory, technical specifications, and existing urban planning restrictions, we proposed 7 concept options, each based on a natural component: caves, rocks, stalactites, etc. As a result, together with the client, we chose the bamboo forest concept, as bamboo is an associative and universally understood symbol of the island.
Considering the client's technical specifications for a certain number of rooms, we developed a master plan where the complex is represented by three buildings, one hotel and two residential. The buildings are interconnected by numerous infrastructure and landscaping elements (from coworking spaces to dog walking areas), making the complex fully self-sufficient.
The architecture and visual appearance of the complex are dictated by natural images:
Multi-level hanging gardens maintain airiness and panoramic views, allowing residents to enjoy views of Thai nature from any apartment in the complex, while feeling hidden from the eyes of neighbors and guests. All landscaping is equipped with an automatic irrigation system, requiring no additional costs or intervention.
The concept of interior design is based on the idea of uniting nature, traditions, and modern functionality. Spaces were created with an emphasis on natural materials, tactile textures, and thoughtful comfortable zoning. For each building, we formed its own interior style: ethnic, wave, rhythm.
Here, the traditions and modernity of Thailand are combined with bright natural colors in the finish. Unique interiors with carved masonry, handmade furniture, and decor create an atmosphere of authenticity. Functional sleeping areas range from master blocks to integrated spaces with wardrobes.
Interiors reflect the harmony of Thailand's nature and the wooden elements of BAMBOO FOREST, with a restrained palette and minimalism. Matte textured wall coverings, wide porcelain tiles, and wooden finishes create tactile naturalness. Accents include relief tiles, ribbed glass, and cozy woven elements.
Minimalism, functionality, and comfort for city dwellers. Warm gray, white, wood, and stone create a modern base, complemented by black and steel accents. Spaces are versatile, allowing owners to adapt them to their needs.
