This is a unique project in which we had practically no restrictions - there are no neighbors, there are no highways nearby, cars do not drive under the house.
The house is located on a plot where the client has his own agricultural land. Moreover, the client already lives there in a house in a classic Mediterranean style with a beautiful symmetrical garden. And it was precisely this symmetry and open spaces that he was tired of. He wanted something more closed, spontaneous and secluded. This is how the concept of a house appeared, which in itself is both a wall and a fence, and in general does not look too pompous to the average person.
Functionally, it is divided into 4 blocks, forming a courtyard-patio with a swimming pool, barbecue area and a small garden. The first block contains an apartment for staff with a separate entrance and technical rooms. The next block is a symbiosis of common spaces and a master block. Adjoining this block is an observation tower - perhaps the most extraordinary part of the house with a seating area on the upper level. The third block is a guest block and includes guest bedrooms. And the last one is an independent spa block.
The house is one-story, but roof increases were added over key areas where we wanted to get more light and interesting space. These volumes received pitched roofs and clerestory windows aimed at the cardinal directions that are interesting from the point of view of insolation.
