The house appears simple and uncluttered, but this superficial restraint conceals a thoughtful and unusual structure. The layout is based on the principle of a triangle, and this defines its character: dynamic spatial geometry emerges within, and this idea is continued externally in the broken roof line.
The triangular plan allows for a clear division of the house into zones. One wing houses the bedrooms, the other the kitchen and living room. The master bedroom, a bathroom, and a dressing room are housed in a separate block, separated from the common space by a terrace. All the main streams of life converge in the center. This organization allows the house to be both compact and spacious: private spaces are isolated yet remain naturally connected to the common area.
The broken roof emphasizes the dynamism of the form and seems to echo the rhythm of the layout. The exterior and layout work together to create a cohesive, unique image.
