This interior is inspired by the image of a wild, rocky ocean coast. We were inspired by its natural strength: the combination of rough textures, soft, muted light, and a calm, almost meditative atmosphere.
Our task was to create a timeless interior with a mid-century character that resonated with the clients. They are passionate about vinyl records, collect art, bring back works from their travels, and maintain a small library. To achieve this, we incorporated open, neatly integrated storage systems that become part of the overall composition.
The apartment's compact size meant we avoided complex formal devices and built the space around nuances: there are no abrupt transitions; textures are revealed gradually through light, movement, and tactility.
It was important for us to find a balance between a natural feel and urban practicality. Therefore, we used materials in their calm, natural states, allowing the interior to be simultaneously modern, cozy and restrained.
