The project’s starting point was defined by the challenging terrain, the varied sightlines, and the need to ensure privacy. These factors guided the approach to the initial building mass: sections were gradually carved out to create deep recesses, terraces, internal voids, and large openings.
As a result, the unified volume took on a distinct character on each side. In some areas, it opens up to the landscape and communal spaces, while in others, it becomes more enclosed, forming the private section of the home. The terraces also serve different purposes: some extend the interior living areas, while others create secluded spots for relaxation.
The layout is multi-level in every sense of the word. Two living rooms are situated on different floors: one connects to the main family areas, while the other functions as a separate zone for relaxation and socializing. The home also features spacious bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and walk-in closets, a spa area with a pool, a gym, and a home cinema. Service routes are kept separate, ensuring that staff operations do not intersect with the residents' daily living activities.
The façade design reinforces this structure through the use of limestone and thermally modified ash: the stone defines the primary volumes, while the wood adds warmth and helps visually break up the large surface areas.
